Sudanese Archive

An independent digital archive preserving at-risk digital evidence from the conflict in Sudan

sudanesearchive.org

Sudanese Archive, established by Mnemonic in partnership with GISA Group in 2019, is a Sudanese-led initiative preserving, analysing and memorialising open source information on human rights violations. Following the outbreak of violence in April 2023, Sudanese Archive shifted its focus from documenting violence against protestors to monitoring the ongoing war. With the most extensive open source database on the Sudanese conflict, the archive supports truth-seeking, justice, advocacy and peacebuilding, and has contributed to the work of various actors, including the UN Independent International Fact-Finding Mission for the Sudan and Sudanese civil society.
